Panama City Beach fishing charters

On a party boat you pay per angler: $70 to $90 for four to eight hours at Jubilee, $85 for Capt. Anderson's five-hour morning trip. A private boat costs more but is yours alone: B & B Charters asks $700 for four hours inshore for up to four people, license and gear included, at its regular rates; from November 1 to February 28 it quotes on request. Capt. Mike's private deep-sea trips run 4 to 12 hours; it doesn't publish prices.

The short answer

Which trip for the fishing you want

Prices are the operators' own, read on November 2, 2026. None of them publishes a 2027 schedule yet, and none promises what you'll catch.

Party boat or private is about who shares the boat. The kind of fishing is a separate choice. Inshore trips stay in St. Andrew Bay and close to shore, like B & B's kids' and 4-hour trips. Deep-sea trips head out into the Gulf. Capt. Mike's says its 4- and 6-hour trips troll for fish such as king and Spanish mackerel and mahi-mahi. Its 6- to 12-hour trips bottom fish for snapper, grouper, triggerfish and amberjack. What you may keep depends on species, size and season. Florida's rules cover state waters, which reach 9 miles into the Gulf; federal rules apply beyond. See FWC's saltwater fishing regulations. Before you book, ask how much of the trip is spent getting to the fishing spot and whether fish cleaning and tips are extra.

Party boats

Shared boats, priced per angler

You share the boat with other anglers and pay per person. Neither promises a catch or publishes cancellation terms. Capt. Anderson's lists set weekdays for its 5-hour morning trip from March through October 31, with no year and a gap in July. It lists nothing for November to February. Jubilee only says its schedule changes by season. Check the booking calendar or call before you go.

Cost per person

What does a private boat cost per person?

A private boat is shared by your group, so it gets cheaper per head as more of you come. Even with four anglers, a four-hour private inshore trip costs more than twice a five-hour Jubilee seat: $175 against $75 each. The private price includes gear and your license. For the extra money, the boat is yours alone, with no other anglers on board.

  • Private inshore, 4 hours, two anglers (B & B)

Fishing license

Is your license included?

B & B Charters and Capt. Mike's say their price includes your fishing license. Capt. Anderson's Marina says charter bookings from the marina cover state and federal recreational fishing licenses for passengers. Its 5-hour trip page doesn't mention it. Jubilee's booking page includes a group fishing license for every angler.

Florida's rule: you don't need your own saltwater license when you fish from a guide, charter or party boat that holds a valid charter license.

To fish without a boat, try one of the two Gulf piers. The tourism office says the fishing fee at both the M.B. Miller County Pier and the Russell-Fields City Pier includes a Florida fishing license for the day.
