Thunder Beach Motorcycle Rally

The spring 2027 rally runs from April 28 to May 2. The organizer's venue pages, which carry no year, list Frank Brown Park, Harley-Davidson Panama City Beach, Crossroads and several bars and restaurants along Front Beach Road and Thomas Drive. Entry to the rally locations is free and bikes park free. The organizer hasn't announced the 2027 program or the fall 2027 dates.

Spring 2027 at a glance

Thunder Beach Productions runs a spring and a fall rally. The fall 2026 rally was scheduled for October 21 to 25. The schedule the organizer published for that rally lists vendor villages, custom bike and audio shows, a biker rodeo, the Miss Thunder Beach contest and a Sunday group wedding with a ride-out; the tourism office also mentions a bike parade, poker runs and stunt shows.

Where the rally happens

The organizer's home page speaks of four official venues and three partner venues. Its FAQ names three official ones (Frank Brown Park, Harley-Davidson Panama City Beach and Crossroads) and three partners (Hammerhead Fred's, Sharky's and The Bike Rack). Its last schedule calls McGuire's Irish Pub an official venue too. The venue pages carry no year, so the music, shows, hours and shuttle below come from past rallies, not a confirmed 2027 program. Check the rally map and schedule closer to the dates.

The organizer's FAQ says car parking is paid but gives no price. The Frank Brown Park page says parking next to the vendors is free; it's mainly for bikes. Coming by car? Ask Thunder Beach Productions about the fee and where to park: (888) 396-1638.

Florida law

Do you need a helmet?

Florida requires riders and passengers to wear a helmet that meets the federal standard, with narrow exceptions such as very small motorcycles. Anyone over 21, rider or passenger, may go without one if covered by insurance with at least $10,000 in medical benefits for motorcycle crash injuries.

Outside those narrow exceptions, the rider must wear approved eye protection at any age, even when riding without a helmet. Breaking either rule is a noncriminal traffic infraction.

We found no city rules specific to the rally, such as noise limits or road closures. During the spring 2026 rally, local news reported extra police patrols and a DUI task force.

The organizer's partner hotels

Thunder Beach lists seven partner hotels: Margaritaville Beach Cottage Resort, the Pines at West Bay, Residence Inn Pier Park, Sandpiper Beacon Beach Resort, Seahaven Beach Hotel, Sleep Inn & Suites and WoodSpring Suites. Its lodging page shows no rates, no booking code and no year. The Margaritaville link carries a "Bike" promo tag, but the page doesn't say what it gets you. Of these, Residence Inn PCB Pier Park and Margaritaville Beach Cottage Resort are on our hotel list and shown below.
