Camping in the state park

The park's amenities page says most sites overlook Lower Grand Lagoon. The park manager's message says the reopened West Loop (sites 93 to 158) has open views of the lagoon; a separate park notice says the loop overlooks the bay. Construction continues on the rest of the campground, and the park doesn't say how many sites are open in total. Book online through Florida State Parks.

Overnight parking

Can you park an RV overnight?

Not in the city's public lots. The city allows cars to park overnight in three lots (9941 Thomas Drive, 600 Henley Drive and 11209 Front Beach Road), but not trailers, RVs or oversized vehicles, and nobody may sleep or camp in a vehicle there.

In the unincorporated areas, such as Thomas Drive and Laguna Beach, ask Bay County about its rules before you plan to park outside a campground.
